Leadership at the Edge® 

What can organizations and their leaders learn from a 1914 expedition to Antarctica? This unforgettable program uses the true story of Ernest Shackleton's extraordinary journey to illustrate key principles of effective leadership and teamwork. The program begins with a slide presentation of the Shackleton expedition, stranded for 23 months after their ship was crushed in the frozen sea. The gripping narrative of how Shackleton and his team reached safety provides the starting point for your learning experience.

The Leadership at the Edge® program puts you in Shackleton's place at critical points in the story and challenges you to examine your own leadership, teambuilding, and decision making skills. Using group discussions, team exercises, and individual action planning, the Leadership at the Edge® program provides a new approach for dealing with a wide range of critical issues facing organizations.

Leadership® at the Edge was one of the keynote addresses at the Leadership 2000 conference in Istanbul, Turkey in November 2000.
